This was just a test shot, but I wanted to find a way to utilize a filter on both a converted and non coverted camera for long exposures. This is the new Formatt-Hitech Firecrest 16 stop IRND. I was able to get a 5 minute exposure on a sunny day using this filter. A conventional B&W 10 stop ND didnt provide any substantial filtration on the converted camera. Id be interested to know what if any means to using longer exposures for a converted camera you guys have tried and the results. Canon XTI life pixel converted Super Color IR 590nm equivalent Canon 17-40 f/4L. F/8 325 seconds ISO 100.
