This was my day , how was yours. As this day come to a close and I prepare for bed. I reflect with pride on the days work of Roraima airways as we strive to make a meaningful contribution to helping to make Guyana a better place. As the mid night hour passed last night my planes were traversing the night skies saving lives. One flying deep into the Guyana jungle and another crossing the Atlantic Ocean to ferry a brain damage patient to a hospital in Trinidad. At the same time our partner Dynamic BOEING 767 300 was taxing for takeoff from JFK with 150 GUYANESE heading home for the Christmas. The 5 hour flight landed at the CJIA one hour before the medivac planes were returned to Ogle international airport. I was on the road to the CJIA this morning at 5 am to meet the Dynamic flight arrival and also to fly 6 investors arriving on that flight into the Hinterland of Guyana. I watched as the Dynamic plane landed and taxi in as well as a Cubana jet that landed and taxi under the direction of my young and professional staff as they maneuver themselves to dispatch the VIPS on that flight and to launched that jet back on its way to Cuba. My staff handled both jets with ease and professionalism making me very proud of them. My son and I piloted that flight through the morning misty skies to safely deliver the investors in time for their engagement . The Arrowpoint Nature Resort was in full swing with visitors enjoying nature while having lots of fun and adventure. Then it was time to began the preparation for Sunday,s arrival of 28 more visitors for the day trip. Cleaning , food prepping , walking and cleaning the trails and preparing the rooms for the 10 overnighters. The checkin for Dynamic departure began at 3 pm and the processing of 130 passengers for the out bound was intense as we struggled to send this flight off on time as we did with the last four. Duke lodge was busy all day , starting at 8 am this morning we hosted a fund raising workshop for young people to guide them in public speaking , use of social media , project writing etc. Then it was time to prepare for the night of events at both duke lodge and Residence Inn. Private dinners , Christmas socials , poolside dinners, and the many walk in guest that frequent our restaurants and Bars. My mind is clear and focused as I condition my mind to deal with the challenges of the new day.
