This was my experience when Sharon and I visited Vietnam in 2011 for my 40th anniversary of serving there. I recommend Vietnam as a vacation destination and strongly urge Vietnam veterans to pay a visit. The only negative experience I had was upon my return, I made these observations to an American Legion post and was accused by one member of being a Communist apologist. Some people just cannot let-go of the past.
