This was on our way to France. As we we were driving, we were not that far from Berne, Switzerland. It was in this town, that in the year 1905, a man named Albert Einstein published four papers that revolutionized physics. One paper dealt with a phenomenon called Brownian movement or the random movement of particles suspended in fluids. Another dealt with how to estimate sizes of molecules, another one was revolutionary in that this one paper argued that light is a quanta or particle of electromagnetic energy and it easily explained a phenomena called the photoelectric effect but the last paper made Einstein famous for it is called "On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies" which is known for explaining the special theory of relativity in that the speed of light is constant for all moving observers and you get effects such as the contraction of measuring rods and the slowing down of clocks.
