This was one of my favorite songs in highschool. I still love it. I have good taste. (I almost wrote god taste. Which is funny because... in my Junior year of highschool two of my teachers were fired for having turned their backs on the faith i.e. they became Baptist out of respect for their wives, who had brought them to a truer relationship with their respective faiths. In protest, every teacher in the religious department of my Catholic school quit. Consequently, during my senior year I had an entirely new set of teachers of religion. One of them was a very young man, a recent grad. from some sort of divinity program at Notre Dame [which was across the street from my highschool], who was sticking around town waiting for his girlfriend to graduate. We had some interesting assignments that year and read the most interesting books of my highschool career [Hesse, Salinger, etc]. One of the assignments was: bring in a song that makes you think of God. This is the song I brought in.)
