This was probably the most inspiring film Ive ever seen. - TopicsExpress

This was probably the most inspiring film Ive ever seen. Everything from ritual sacrifices, to emotional breakdowns, to heart attacks, to thoughts of suicide. This production didnt get a single break. Hearing a master like Coppola say he wouldve liked to have become paralysed just so he could stop filming and have a legitimate excuse to quit, and then keep on going, was pretty humbling. After watching this its amazing that this film was even made at all, and the fact that its the greatest representation of war on celluloid is beyond an achievement. This is bare bones movie making at its finest. I hope that one day Ill be able to wanna commit suicide, and have my lead actor have a heart attack due to stress. Because no matter what happens, its all worth it in the end. Thats why I think this film resonated so much with me. Im glad I finally got around to seeing this. Probably my favourite film from 91 as of right now. 10000000 bananas. ~tighrenian
