This was taken off the scanner and is not from the RPD Officers responded this morning for a reported dispute between two males at 176 Arborwood Cres. RPD 4612 went on location with the caller and stated she was waiting for her backup. While waiting, she requested her backup to step it up. She further reported there was a male outside with a knife and he was refusing to put it down. She then stated there were shots fired with the suspect down. She stated her location and reiterated that she needed backup as the suspect had regained control of the knife. Once additional officers arrived on location, the suspect was taken into custody then treated and transported by Rural Metro. Another Rural Metro Ambulance was requested to check out the officers involved. The cause of the incident is under investigation. This information was taken from the scanner as it was happening and is not confirmed by RPD.
