: This was the first recording of music from this opera that I ever heard, way back in the dark ages of the late 1970s or early 1980s. The orchestral Suite from Rimsky-Korsakovs opera Christmas Eve, conducted by Ernest Ansermet. I still have the vinyl LP somewhere...
