This was the first video I made to discuss the direction of a composition Im currently constructing, between Marimba and the Gamelan Ensemble at Bath Spa University. The first composition Id heard was by a third year and friend, Sophie, who had chosen a harmonically-driven approach. I decided I wanted to go a completely different route with it, and make the piece fast paced to show the versatility of Gamelan instruments outside of a traditional setting. The beginning of the video was my idea, then about half way through I started improvising around it (with a few misses!)
