This was the response to the first audition I recorded during night-owl mode Sunday / wee hours of today for the casting call my lovely Christina found for her man. ... Hey Randy, I admit I deeply enjoyed your auditions, but im afraid that your voice type doesnt fit my Kravis too well. There is a silver lining though because I was hoping for your baritone voice could be used later for a character I introduce in part II. If your still interested the character is a rebel leader, named Thane hes pretty menacing and will step on anyone who gets in his way. Thanes has a rough relationship with another bad guy but the shades of gray make Thane a better character overall Let me know and Ill send you the script for part I and II and then you can record his lines If not thank you for your time and effort and I hope you keep and eye on it. ... I didnt get the role I auditioned for as Kravis Ming, the governor of planet Atlas who cares deeply for the planet and is often horrified at the full on combat between the rebels and UNSC. I did get a role as Thane Mun, The de facto leader of the rebels whose entire life has been spent making sure the freedom of his people is attained, as such he hates the UNSC and all that it stands for and while Thanes methods are often viewed as unsavory he cares deeply for the rebels and fights with their interest at heart. A character the producer himself described as having shades of gray that make Thane a better character than Kravis overall. I submitted an audition and wasnt right for the part, but the producer heard my voice and decided they wanted to use me for something else. That outcome is 90% of the impetus behind me auditioning and submitting to the extent that I do. And thats a rather excellent silver lining.
