This was the view last night at a beautiful street party we served food at in Dundas last night. A giant picnic table for 300 is set up on Victoria street with red checkered table clothes, flowers, candles. There is music, people bring their own china, cutlery, wine, beer or beverage and a side dish of their choice. About 250 people dressed in white came our to dine on their own china, wine, beer, and we provided the main dish. Marche Nocturne was started in 2011 after a lady named Jane passed away of pancreatic cancer. She was a big part of the community and always brought people together so the fundraiser dinner was started in her honour. Local art was auctioned off and after dinner people danced and mingled in the street until about midnight. We feel privileged and honoured to be part of such a special, beautiful evening.
