This was truly the beginning of the change in me... After 4 months in jail, And less than 2 months trying to make ends meet financially. I did something very different from what the addict me would have done.... David Keith Rudisel March 5, 2013 What would you do? I went to the ATM at Thorntons yesterday and hit the fast $40 button and $60 came out, My first thought was this is my lucky day.. I got a pack of smokes and headed for the door. On my way out I noticed the lady that just used the machine before me was still counting her money the lady was using the atm again and had several receipts in her hand looking kinda puzzled. I went to the car to leave but decided to go check with her but when i got back inside she was gone. I saw her and her husband sitting in their car shaking their heads. so I went to the drivers window and asked her if she was having trouble with the ATM? She said yes it had just shorted her $20... I told her that i had it and gave it back. The look in their eyes was worth more than the $20 to me. the man shook my hand and thanked me for being honest. If only everyone was like that the world would be a better place. I dont know if it was their rent money, or what, but i could tell that they needed it. I only make minimum wage, when i get to work for the temp service and could have used the extra $20 but I felt so much better after doing that. I hope there is such a thing as Karma and it comes my way soon Im about to lose my house for back taxes now. I cant seem to find a good paying job. but I am looking everyday. Since that day I always try to do what I know in my heart is the right thing to do. By giving back to life... Life has given back to me... Almost 2 years clean now... I have a good job, a Great relationship with my family... And a Great relationship with GOD.
