This was written by one of our own Prime Timer family members,Sandra Dickey,Sandra and her sister,Doris Deal,another of our PT family members along with their family have been going through some difficult times lately with their precious mother being ill and during this time,Sandra wrote this about longing to be with her Prime Timer family. We wanted to share it with you today. A Special Kind of Family........... All thru life we are searching for that one thing that brings us peace and happiness in our lives...some find it early on and some search and find it later and some never find it at all. There is a group of people.... brothers and sisters we are in Christ..who form a group called the Prime Timers...and though I myself am new to this group I have found within it..acceptance,love,togetherness in hearts and souls...a peace of belonging to a group that worships the Lord and has faith beyond belief. A group of people that help to form the congregation of Bible Baptist Church...the older group...and I would say the wiser group...for we have traveled more miles...learned more lessons...and have grown in our walk with the Lord. It is amazing how we search and search for that place we feel brings us the closest to God...and when you find it...you feel this joy..this wanting to be among the children of God and to share your life,your beliefs,your faith..it brings much peace to belong to part of Gods family and when for reasons beyond our control..we can not always be with them...you miss the closeness,you miss the strength that you draw from them..you miss the happiness you feel when your all together...no matter what is going on in our lives...we are stronger together than apart. Many churches do not find this kind of family...there is much discord among many of the churches today...hard to find is one that strives to Praise God...and to focus on the gathering of all the lost sheep that are in this world today...to bring them into the family of God..to worship and pray together for those that are lost and those that are found...for too many other things get in the way of what God has placed us here to do. A special feeling it is to walk into a church and know without a doubt that God is in our midst..and when we leave..He is with us. I am most thankful for this group of people who have become friends in such a short time...who pull together and stand up for each other thru bad times as well as good. When looking among all of you...some older,some younger...many with illness,worries,problems,as we all have...there is something that still shines bright...in our eyes is a light that leads straight to our souls and within our hearts lives our Lord...and we let it show. Brothers and Sisters we are...belonging to the Family of God... a small group of people...who love the Lord...love their church and church family...a small group of people who bring joy to many by their light that they refuse to let go out....I am most thankful to God for leading me to Bible Baptist Church and to the family I have found here....and I pray that He will use me to be a blessing to all of you as you have been to me. Prime Timers...carry on...for I think our Heavenly Father is most pleased.
