This wasnt how things were supposed to go. But, they did. But, no one was ready. Would they have ever been? Point taken. But it changes nothing. So where does that leave us? What youve done cannot be undone. But youve already seen that such things can be forgotten. Dont tell me everything I did was in vain!! Certainly not. You grew from it, did you not? Of course. But what of the others? What of them? Did they learn anything? I think not. They learned that their lives have meaning!! A paltry lesson. They could have learned this on their own. So youre saying that I changed nothing? On the contrary. You changed everything. But it doesnt matter. I would like to think that it did. For some, maybe. But you have seen thousands of years of their history. They dont learn. They dont change. Nothing matters outside of a generation or two, and then its business as usual. I dont believe that! Look at their history. You cannot deny what Ive said. Is there a chance?? Maybe. There is always an outside variable. Wasnt that me?? Apparently not, though Ill give you points for trying. I never tried to do anything but live!! So you never expected to change anything. I dont see why we are at odds. I hoped for more. Everything I did, as I did it, I hoped for more. Thats it, then, you did change things. But you just said-- It doesnt matter what I said. You proved me wrong. Hope is the key. I think it get it, though. You would say that hope is transitory. And perhaps it is. But you instilled it. Even if it fades, you left a mark. Does it amount to anything? Well, youre free. Your friends are free. Them--they will be reset. Them? but not, they? True. When they awake, they will be closer than when they slept. But, they already arrived! Such things are cyclical. Have you learned nothing? All is cyclical. But what will prevent destruction? The hope you instilled. They will all know it. They will all feel it. They will get a second chance. I think I understand. I think you do, and thus you are free. May I--? Yes, you may. WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP you are free.
