This water report is for the week ending 7/6/2013. • The current 5 year cycle began on October 25, 2010. • The pro-rated deficit (water debt MX owes the US) as of 7/6/2013 is 467,491 AF (AF = acre feet of water or one football field full of water, 1 foot high) for this cycle. • During the first year of the cycle, Mexico delivered 288,309 AF, during the second year 100,401 AF, and to date 87,361 AF for the third year. • The running total of deliveries for this 5-year cycle is 476,071 AF. The Mexican Reservoirs report shows, as a whole, a total of 23.6% average capacity. It should be noted that Luis Leon, on the Rio Conchos, is at 95.1% of normal capacity as of this week’s report. United States has 681,807 AF in Amistad and 414,273 AF in Falcon as of 7/6/13. Mexico has 148,360 AF in Amistad and 200,245 AF in Falcon as of 7/6/13. The Amistad Reservoir is currently at: 1057.76 ft -59.24 with a release of 20.0 cms / 706 cfs Falcon Reservoir is currently at: 264.36 ft -36.34 with a release of 37.0 cms / 1307 cfs Again, I will keep posting the numbers in hopes to gain regional support in our efforts to collect water that Mexico owes the us based on the 1944 Treaty.
