This weather I tell ya..........makes me feel like Im living in Seattle.....or England...... Ok peeps lets talk about whats going on and whats coming up. Dreary conditions will persist throughout today and tonight......and for our friends in MD there are some issues with fog....so much so that the NWS has a Dense Fog Advisory in place until 6PM today for Anne Arundel, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince Georges, St. Marys, and Washington Counties. Areas of dense fog are reducing visibility below 1/4 mile........but this too shall pass. Tomorrows rain is thanks to a low that will move from the Tennessee Valley northward to the Great Lakes region. Pretty much EVERYONE in our coverage area will be looking at rain from late tomorrow morning through a good part of the overnight hours on Christmas.....so if anyone has an in with Santa make sure to tell him to wear his poncho and put the windshield-wiper goggles on Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer. Temps tomorrow will hover in the mid to upper 50s.....with a few areas (Philly, Baltimore, Delaware) seeing 60 or low 60s. I also wouldnt rule out an occasional rumble of thunder in some isolated areas. Total precipitation will average around an inch to isolated areas of 1-1/2 inches......and yes folks its all rain. No snow for Christmas.....WOMP WOMPPPP This low is generally a fast mover, so yesterday when I mentioned Christmas Day being really windy....today its looking like we can back off on the REALLY gusty winds......more like 10-20 miles per hour with an occasional gust to 25. Clouds will also give way to sunshine, and highs will generally be in the 40s for the northern counties of PA and NJ, around 50 for counties in the middle of PA and NJ, and low 50s for SEPA, South-central PA, Philly, south Jersey, MD, and DE. Friday and Saturday are looking pretty darn good with sunshine and breezes from the southwest.....which will keep daytime highs right around the highs on Christmas Day. Sunday is an iffy day at this point. Computer models are hinting at some type of disturbance but there is disagreement on timing, temps, and type of precipitation at this point. Other than mentioning that the weather might be sketchy on Sunday theres no point in talking about it today. The models will surely start to lock in on it over the next few days and - as always - well keep you all informed. Stay dry my friends. Chris
