This week, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and El Salvador withdrew their ambassadors from Israel. Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Venezuela together released a statement saying that they energetically condemn the disproportionate use of force by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip, which in the majority affects civilians, including children and women. Bolivia renounced a visa exemption agreement with Israel, declaring it a terrorist state. Latin American leaders are taking a stand where other world leaders have been silent.
