This week, Chief Magaw joined County Executive Baker and Governor O’Malley to detail a continued drop in crime in our county in 2014. It’s the fourth straight year of these reductions. There were nearly 2,400 fewer victims of crime last year. Since 2010, homicides have dropped by 40%. The Chief credits the dedication of this entire police department and perhaps more importantly, the increasingly strong relationship with the community we proudly serve. In this new year, we look forward to working even more closely with our community as we all work together to reduce crime even further.
