This week, HOPE Africa is walking alongside the Diocese of Lesotho by continuing capacity building for parish facilitators on new Umoja skills. This phase 3 of Umoja training aims to equip Umoja parish facilitators on relationship building and how the church relates to her immediate community. During this one week training, participants will reflect and share reports of their parish action plans. At the end of the training, it is expected that participants will be capacitated with skills and courage to facilitate their church leaders to build strong relationship with the community to be able to jointly discuss their issues and address them. Umoja is a developmental mobilisation approach that aims to empower people to take charge of their destiny by questioning history, current situation and examining the root cause of poverty in order to utilise local resources to address poverty.
