This week I am reminded once again (here and on other pages) that Catherine of Aragons religious devotion is not often given the same pass as that of other Tudor-era figures. While Catherine tends to be described as stubborn, fanatical, should have just given in, etc, others (Anne Askew, Thomas Cranmer, for example) are dubbed brave, inspirational, strong, and the like. This bothers the heck out of me! I encourage you to try to view the figures of our favourite era in a balanced and fair way.
