This week, I had the unfortunate luck of having an account of mine - TopicsExpress

This week, I had the unfortunate luck of having an account of mine hacked and a charge put on my bank card. Luckily Frost Bank took care of the charge right away and I was able to order a new card with a new number, This all happened on Monday, since then Ive been without my card. So today, I am driving to work, and I stop at Ruthies Mexican Restaurant, a good place for tacos, visit them on west ave. Anyway I walk up to the little togo order window and there is this young boy waiting for his order, so I patiently wait for my turn to order. They bring the boys tacos to the window and give him the total, just under $4.00. The boy pulls out a couple of bucks and some change and is fumbling around, he didnt have enough to cover his breakfast. Well, being the nice guy I tell the guy at the window that I will cover the boys tacos and he says ok. The young man is standing there dumbfounded, and the guy at the window tells him that I paid for his tacos and that he can go, he thanked me and offered the little bit of money he had, of course I told him to keep his money, he said thank you and walked off to school, I make my order, and I give the dude my card.....which is canceled. He came back and asked if i had another car and it hit me. I had no way to pay for my or the boys order. I had to call my girlfriend and get her card number to pay. Firstly the guy at Ruthies was cool and told me I could come back later and pay, since i go there all the time. But I paid the bill, left a tip and went to work. The more I think about this, I came to a realization. Sometimes, helping someone out may not be the easiest thing to do, but that makes it that much more rewarding. I strongly believe in karma, so hopefully good karma comes my way.
