Mentors’ Professional Learning Community at ASCY 526 Upper Paradise Rd - Hamilton Date - 27/01/2015 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm This network is suited to anyone in a leadership capacity who is mentoring others in the implementation of play-based learning (emergent curriculum), building on the four foundations of Ontario’s new pedagogy framework. This professional learning community provides a safe environment of critical inquiry where mentors can share their successes and challenges, co-construct knowledge, reflect on assumptions and beliefs about their role as a pedagogical leader. The dialogue will be guided by the experiences and interests of the group. Facilitated by: Tracey Webster Menu Planning and Healthy Eating Made Easy Date - 28/01/2015 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at ASCY At this interactive workshop for cooks, supervisors and RECEs, participants will: -Review healthy eating -Discover ways of “Raising the Bar” for healthy eating -Assess current menus and consult with Public Health staff -Learn new and creative ideas and pick up resources Facilitated by: Public Health Dietitians Infants’ and Toddlers’ Learning Community Date - 29/01/2015 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at ASCY Come and join our learning community where we can share and discuss specific topics. We will network and explore together various issues surrounding child development, current trends and issues in our field of Early Childhood as well as articles and DVDs.
