This week hasnt been the easiest. Sadly, Theos friend Aidan passed - TopicsExpress

This week hasnt been the easiest. Sadly, Theos friend Aidan passed away at the beginning of this month and we attended his funeral this Wednesday. The priest led the service beautifully and managed to say everything Id hope to say to comfort my friend, Aidans mum. He said sometimes pain is unexplained and unfair particularly when we lose a loved one, a child. Its only when pain turns into thanks giving do we begin to recover. Please love your family and dont take anything for granted. Be thankful for everything you have. Theo met Aidan when they were both 10 months old in the Evelina Childrens Hospital in London. Aidan was sat up in his cot reading his book. He had a high temperature that evening and so had 2 fans blowing a gale which Theo LOVED! Aidans mum and me got chatting and kept in touch once the boys were discharged. On Theos first birthday Aidan brought his big sister Evie to his party and they played on the blanket in the sun together. Aidans biggest obsession was marmite! He also loved bouncy balls and his bubble machine! My fondest memory of Aidan is him saying bubbles and reaching out to the machine when we visited him at home. His love of marmite carried on throughout his hospital stays. I remember him munching on his marmite toast and calling out marmite! Marmite! Thank you Aidan, if it werent for you I wouldnt have met your mummy and daddy. Youve been such a good friend to Theo over the last 8 months and we miss you every minute xxx
