This week, illustrator and oil painter, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh became Girl/Friendss first Artist-in-Residence. Featured recently in the New York Times in An Artist Demands Civility on the Street With Grit and Buckets of Paste, Fazlalizadeh has used her Stop Telling Women To Smile poster installations to bring awareness to street harassment in cities all over the United States. This week, she taught our Girl/Friends Youth Leaders from North Lawndale Prep Charter High School how to use her technique to make their own campaigns in their communities throughout Chicago.
