Friends Reunited was sold to British television company ITV. Facebook expanded outside of just college students and allows advertisements to target people by ethnicity, age, location, and interests. In 2007 Microsoft buys into Facebook and by 2008 Facebook exceeds MySpace in visits and registrations. By 2009 Facebook has twice as much traffic as MySpace and Bing was launched by Microsoft to create an alternative (something besides Google) to search and indexing of personal information.
