This week is school vacation week. A plea to all the parents out there....should you choose to go to the Museum of Science, MFA, the zoo, the aquarium or any of the notable places around New England please remember that you are NOT the only people on vacation this week and will be sharing your experience with 2-10 thousand of your closest friends. Remember you will most likely have to stand in line, may not get to see a show or an exhibition because it is at capacity, and will have to deal with other peoples children as they will have to deal with your own. Please do not take it out on the staff that are working at these institutions. They are dealing with hundreds if not thousands of people EVERYDAY this week, not just one. They are following rules that are in place for the protection of the patrons, please do not make their job harder by yelling at them when you cannot enter a show that closed because it was full. Plan ahead and be prepared to make changes or sacrifices. Then vacation week can be enjoyable for all.
