This week is when I learnt that your name can really betray you. - TopicsExpress

This week is when I learnt that your name can really betray you. See, I first noticed that the Jubilee people were appointing what they were calling the Jubilee Social Media cabinet. And here I was sitting tight, waiting for a nomination to the cabinet, saying oh once upon a time I used to believe in Uhuru. .And in my mind I had already formed the hard questions that I would ask them. What does Jubilee represent? If you are to appoint me, I need to know what Jubilee offers so I can defend the party well on social media. I had even prepared to tell them that I would settle for no less than the Social Cabinet secretary for diaspora or something. I waited and waited. Nobody approached me. Then I began to see people giving their acceptance speeches accepting various Jubilee social media cabinet posts. I was shocked that my name was not there and I was not being called upon to draft an acceptance speech. Then I looked at the names of the self-appointed. And the pattern was that they were all Kikuyu and Kalenjin names. So, then I consoled myself. I probably dont belong there. I am nowadays a Cordeshian. Then this week, I saw Cordeshians under OOJr immediately begin to organise their own social media cabinet, having gotten the cue from Jubilee. So, again I waited for the discreet approach, saying to myself, now when they come to me, I must ask them what Raila stands for nowadays so that I can defend them. I need to know what Kalonzo was doing in China so that I can answer tough questions on behalf of the party. I waited. And waited. Nobody approached me. And then I saw acceptance speeches begin to flood my timeline. And they were all Luos. Luos that I havent really seen much of on the blogosphere. I am not sure if even Alai was appointed. Then this morning, I now see photos of Jubilee and Cord Social Media cabinet secretaries having a breakfast at some hotel in Nairobi. And thats when it hit me. There was money changing hands here. No wonder it was all done so hush-hush. Whenever there is money involved, you can be sure friends will be called in and your name will matter... I am now anxiously awaiting on the political party Tip-Tip to send some emissaries to plead with me and appoint me and the likes of Onyinkwa, Omoriki Kiage, Governor Alberto, Winnie Majani, etc
