This week marks fifty years since I got my first job as a Jackaroo on a property called Kirrimuir at Wongarbon, near Dubbo. After severe under achievement at high school I had no idea how things would turn out for me. I suspected that God might exist, though I did nothing to find out one way or the other. Now I look back and can understand what David was getting at when he wrote The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. (Psalm 16:6) My future on earth is still a bit of a mystery and I guess I am still a serious under-achiever but I know that God is my Dad and I can rejoice in his achievements not least of which is getting me to see that its not all about me. To the praise of his glorious grace
