Saturday: We’re fightin’ fancy. Put on your best dress or a tuxedo and step back in time October 18 when the Benning Boxing team takes on West Point and Fort Jackson at Uchee Creek for Ballroom Boxing. Relive the glory days of boxing – the fabulous 40s – when the sport was synonymous with big bands, big hair, wingtips and really fine cigars. Hors doeuvres and beverages will be available. Doors open at 6pm, and the first bout starts at 7pm. There is no fee for admission. Safety Cab will offer free rides home from 9pm-1am on post and in Phenix City or Columbus.
