This week the team was challenged by our old athletic trainer, Corey James, to do the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for ALS. ALS is a debilitating and fatal neurodegenerative disease affecting motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. For more information on the disease, go to alsa.org/about-als/ We will also be donating as a team to the ALS Association to support research, and encourage you all to participate in the effort as well! You can donate through the ALSA website. We would also like to apologize profusely to the Stanford athletic training staff for the ruckus we caused in the cold pool, and ask other teams to keep in mind that it is not acceptable to jump into the cold pool at any time, regardless of the cause. Lastly, we would like to nominate Cal Mens Gymnastics, including Brett McClure, any Stanford Mens Gymnastics alumni reading this out there, and the Stanford Womens Field Hockey team to complete this challenge next!
