This week we decided to pose a simple question: “What is a good life?” We all knew that the answer was not as simple as the question and this resulted in a great lively discussion. Some of the responses gathered were: - A good life constitutes balance throughout all domains of life: family, work, physical and spiritual. - It means exploring the world around you, thinking outside the box and in essence, leaving the world in a better place than it was in before. - For one member (ME), it meant drinking hot chocolate while sitting near a fire place in a cabin amidst nature. We decided not to delve into the morality and rationality of leading a good life as we wanted to hear our own thoughts, ideas and wishes of a good life. Somehow, we stumbled upon the world of fairy tales and that topic opened another can of worms. The journey started from narrating personal stories to analysis of eastern vs. western depiction of fairy tales. Tomorrow, we discuss something that Mehwish and I have been waiting impatiently to hear your thoughts on: Love versus Lust. The gathering starts at 12pm at the Rationalist House on Symonds Street
