This week we have been continuing with our construction theme shifting different materials with a variety of tools such as buckets, wheel barrows, shovels and spades. We have transported our stones to our painting area where we have enjoyed painting patterns and making marks. The children thought about and discussed their designs before transferring their ideas to the stones. We had pictures of rainbows family members and islands!! We have been building various structures with our Lego, blocks and mobilo. The children have worked really hard at looking at numbers, we have used numicon and play dough to support this, for example putting fingers through the numicon, rolling balls of play dough to place inside the numicon and stacking numicon to compare number sizes.
