This week we have taken on an extremely skinny puppy who needs extra care prior to normal vetting. Weve picked up not one, but two dogs from the Emergency vet after a three week stay. One puppy had Parvo and Mycoplasma. The other has both types of tick fever, multiple lacerations to the face and neck, all before the people who found her washed her with bleach because she smelled bad. DBAR is looking at over 2k for these three babies. (I honestly believe we are shooting too low). Today I got the statement from our vet in midland and our bill for two weeks sits at 1052.00 -that is just for normal vetting. We have 56 cats and 29 dogs in foster RIGHT NOW. 40 of which still require some form of vetting. We dont announce every animal that comes in... Doesnt matter if they are going to be extra expensive or normal vetting... We just do what we have to by fundraising. This time of year donations are almost non existent. We all have families and understand why that happens but, we need help! We need to be able to pay our bills. We need to be able to make these babies adoptable! Please, if you can spare ANYTHING...
