This weekend, Lititz civic organizations and the Ladies Auxiliary to Lititz Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1463 will present “The Lititz Walk for PA Wounded Warriors” to raise awareness and funds for PA Wounded Warriors, Inc. (PAWW) whose mission is to “Help restore wounded warriors to good physical, mental and emotional health.” Join us on Saturday May 10, 2014 for a “Lititz Walk for PA Wounded Warriors”. You can park your car at the Lititz RecCenter, and then visit the Ladies Auxiliary table where you’ll receive your map, a special pin that designates you as a walker, and information on Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors. Penn Dutch Pacers has outlined several walking paths around Lititz, highlighting beautiful Lititz Springs Park and historic sites. There will also be registration sites in downtown Lititz. You can download a registration form at lititzvfw or on Facebook Lititz-Walk-For-Wounded-Warriors. Registration fees are $10.00 per person and $15.00 per family and will be taken from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm. The Lititz Walk for Wounded Warriors is a joint community project created to raise awareness and funds for wounded warriors in Pennsylvania. PAWW is not affiliated with the National Wounded Warriors Project; it serves only Pennsylvania veterans and their families. Proceeds donated to the Ladies Auxiliary to Lititz Springs Post 1463 go directly to PAWW. Lititz PA Wounded Warriors received $8,000 in donations from last year’s Walk, so please join us in supporting The Walk for this wonderful organization. You can download a registration form at lititzvfw or on Facebook Lititz-Walk-For-Wounded-Warriors. Registration forms are also available from event sponsors: Lititz VFW Post 1463 and its Ladies Auxiliary, Lititz RecCenter, Lititz Lions Club, Heart of Lancaster, American Legion Post 56 Ladies Auxiliary, Rotary Club of Lititz, Clementine’s, Dr. Leslie B.
