This weekend, PCC heads to Ijok. Easy rides to keep the body fat burning before the holiday season. Good cardio workout and be back early. If youre bringing a friend, make sure you stay with your friend and accompany them. Start/ End: D Bayu, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam Jln Serambi U8/24 ( in front of 7-11 ) GPS: N 3°6 11.08 E 101°31 38.69 Time: 7:30 am sharp (please come 15 minutes early) Date: 16th November 2014 Sunday Route: BJ-Guthrie Corridor- Jln Kuala Selangor - Ijok Petronas (Refuel, regroup & U-turn)- Jln Kuala Selangor- Guthrie Corridor – BJ (67km); Safety issues: The roads are in pretty good nick. Ride single-filed, especially along Jln Kuala Selangor, Puncak Alam & Guthrie motorcycle lane. On the return trip, beware of fast rear-coming vehicles as we turn right into Bkt Jelutong. If unsure, just get off the bike and push across the road or ride further up and turn right into Bkt Jelutong across the flyover. Please offer hand signals to fellow cyclists and motor vehicles to warn of obstacles/ danger and to indicate your intent. Do NOT shout out unless really necessary. Riders who are new to peloton-riding are encouraged to ride at the back of the pack. During the ride, observe the group and ask if you are in doubt of proper drafting and peloton-riding norms. No need to take the lead if you are not sure what to do…the rest of you, please take your fair share of the pull. Even token pulls are appreciated. If you think u r lost, stop & wait for the next rider to come along. There will be a sweeper. Bring along: Spare tube, pump, 2 water bottles, hydrating salts, muesli/ energy bars, $, hand phone & helmet. Always be self-reliant.
