This weekend at Life Way Church, Santa Paula, CA we continue in our series, Joseph’s Journey A SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR TOUGH TIMES, Tomorrows message, “How To Survive A Crisis.” The story of Joseph sounds like a sad country song, doesn’t it? This poor guy faced one crisis after another. As you look at all the challenges he faced not only was he trying to reconcile with his brothers who had wronged him, but at the same time he was managing a severe famine as the Prime Minister of Egypt. It’s been two years since the last drop of rain. The sky was endlessly blue, the sun was relentlessly hot. Animal carcasses were everywhere. Farms could not produce a single crop. These were desperate times. Maybe you know what it’s like to try to manage a crisis at work and tensions at home. We all face crisis, but have you noticed we don’t face them equally. The same challenge that EMBITTERS one person EMBOLDENS the other. The same challenge that drives one person to DESPAIR will drive another person to PRAYER. The same crisis that drives one person to the BOTTLE leads another person to the BIBLE. What can we learn from Joseph? I thinks Joseph can give us a couple of practical reminders about how to face a crisis. You do not want to miss this message. We will save a seat for you.
