This weekend at Life Way Church, Santa Paula CA, we will be dealing with this most important subject; WHAT TO DO WHEN LIFE IS RELATIVELY DIFFICULT, Dealing with Difficult Relatives, John 7:3-5, Acts 1:12,14. What family tree doesn’t have its share of FRUITS & NUTS? How can you make the best of this family that you are surrounded by? You probably have a difficult relative or two? Maybe you have some one in your family you aren’t even talking to. Maybe you have someone in your family you can’t avoid but you would if you could. Maybe you have a mother who is always complaining. Or an uncle who is always obnoxious or a sister who is always upset. Maybe your mother-in-law is still wondering why her daughter married you. No matter what you do, here they come at Thanksgiving and Christmas and other family occasions throughout the year. So what do you do when you and your kin can’t? It may surprise you to learn that Jesus had a difficult family. It may also surprise you to discover that His family was less then perfect. If your family doesn’t appreciate you take heart. Our Lord’s family did not appreciate Him either. How did Jesus cope? He did not react, He did not lose His cool, He stayed faithful to the Father even in a situation that was so difficult. Observing His life we discover how to deal with difficult relatives. Tomorrow we will be sharing some Biblical principles and applying this truth to our families, RELATIVELY speaking. I can not wait to see you tomorrow as we worship KING JESUS!
