This weekend has been spent saying goodbye to three icons of Avery County. To everything there is a season, and this is unfortunately our time to have to rely on our memories of these great men. Albert Jaynes, Carey Lynn Loven and Gleason Harmon, there have been no finer, no better or any three men who respectively had such an impact on their communities and this county. Heaven is much brighter this week, and our county has lost true gems of humanity, Please keep their families in your prayers, but as Alberts wife told me the other night, she is at great peace, she will miss him terribly but knows exactly where he is, along with the other two wonderful men. Personally I will greatly miss their guidance, friendship and wisdom, but through all of us who have experienced their virtues, what we do from here on out will be part of their legacy.
