This weekend was awesome. I spent four hours at the hospital - TopicsExpress

This weekend was awesome. I spent four hours at the hospital waiting for a doctor to check my ear infection. The waiting room was just a bunch of chairs in the middle of the emergency center... so I saw EVERYTHING. At least four mexican workers came in with cut or cut off fingers. They ask to rate your level of pain from 1 to 10. I felt bad for the people moaning and coming in with all sorts of issues, so I said 1. Which is probably why I was there for four hours. This one girl looked as if she got frightened by something and then got stuck in that state. Her pupils were wide and she walked very very slow for some reason. Did not blink once. Beds back and forth with people under narcosis from car accidents. There were blood stains everywhere... on the floor, in the bathroom sink, on the chairs, even on the walls. That was slightly disturbing. This old lady in a gown kept going to the bathroom but never locked the door. Despite knocking, I was forced to see her half naked twice. That was also disturbing. A family came in and they were all wearing safety masks covering their mouths. What does that mean? Eventually I got a free prescription of antibiotics. Then saw The Equalizer with Denzel Washington. There was a sound malfunction, so they rewinded the movie on the big screen. It was a DVD. One of the lead actors showed up for a Q&A. He had nothing to say. Got a sudden burst of energy I never felt before, but wasted it on mingling with drunk people. Ate thai food at TOI on Sunset and went to bed.
