This weekend was awesome. It has been a beautiful summer all around. Today, Sand and I got up, and took the dogs about a mile back into the brook. We shot vids on the way, and enjoyed. We got back home, and a little car pulled in, and my Bro Lee, whom I havent seen for a year and a half showed up, with his gal Meagan. He visited for several hours, went for a nice ride in the 34, then he turned around to make the 5 hour drive back home. They came here just to see us for a couple hrs. , then headed back as Meagan had to work tomorrow morn. We went for a walk out back to the cabin, and Oreo came with. Oreo was in front. My little bridge that you cross needs work, so we took it slow. As we enter the back yard, there is a big doe, head down and eating, 7 in front of me. Oreos head is still down. The doe lifts, sees me, in one lifting twisting leap...was gone. Lee saw it, OREO DID NOT SEE IT ! She smelled where it was standing, and Lee and I watched that doe silently disappear in 4 or 5 leaps....so cool, and hard to believe she did not sense us until we were on top of her.....
