This weekends 2nd annual twister nationals at i-44 riverside speedway has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Makeup options will be considered to start next season, but thats a wrap for competitive racing for I-44 Riverside for the 2014 season. We are considering doing a final practice before preparations are made to winterize the speedway. We regret the affect of the weather on this weekends racing, but we are trying to mindful of all our customers in making this decision as soon as possible. With very cold and overcast conditions expected Saturday, we do not wish to string everyone along through midday Saturday on a realistic 20% chance (if that) that we could get this race in. We dont want the traveling teams to have to load up and come this way just in case, and for our valued locals as well as the traveling teams, the sooner the decision is made the more time everyone has to make plans with family and loved ones. We thank everyone for a fantastic 2014 season, one of the biggest in the 15 year history of the speedway.
