This weeks Motivation Monday message is on proper weight loss. Weight loss should be accomplished through a combination of reduced energy intake(how many calories you eat) and increased energy expenditure(how may calories your burn). The goal should be to achieve an energy deficit of 500 to 1000 calories per day and 3500 to 7000(max) calories per week, which will result in the loss of 1 to 2 pounds per week. It is recommended that weight loss should never exceed more than 2 pounds per week, anything more is considered unhealthy weight loss. Losing weight takes time and effort so try to not get discouraged when going for your goal!
