This weeks featured business of the week is Goodwill Central Florida. Goodwill Industries of Central Florida will have a Donation Truck available to make home pickups on Saturday, September 27th after the Community-Wide Yard Sale. We encourage you to bring your donations to our Donation Xpress Center located in the Publix Plaza. However, if you have furniture or other large items to donate, here are 3 easy steps to schedule a pickup: 1. Please call our Xpress Center at (407) 929-3435 no later than 1 p.m. on the day of the Yard Sale. The attendant will ask for your name, address, specific neighborhood in Avalon Park and list of Items to pick up. 2. To make the process quick and easy, please have your items ready for pick-up at the end of your driveway/front of house and label them “Goodwill” so our driver can easily identify your home. 3. We will begin pickups at 3 p.m. and our driver will have receipts for your donation if you would like one. Please consider donating clothes, toys, books, small appliances, furniture and other household items that you no longer use to Goodwill. Although many people may not know it, more than 90% of Goodwill’s annual revenue is channeled directly into programs that help people with disabilities and other barriers to employment find jobs in Central Florida.
