This weeks pros tip is on chipping. Too often I see players trying to make the ball go in the air and not making a very good job of it. Most of the time their efforts result in the club digging in to the ground behind the ball, leaving it woefully short of the target or catching the ball half way up and firing it at ankle height 30 yards through the green. The key to consistent striking and accuracy is to let the club do the work for you. Pick the club with the correct loft for the job you need done, then concentrate on making a crisp downward strike into the bottom of the ba. In my opinion, there is no one better at this than Steve Stricker.
