This weeks special Sunday Senior is Colonel, a handsome Border Collie/Golden Retriever mix currently housed at the Carroll County Dog Pound in Carrollton, Ohio. Colonel (and his three-year-old best friend named Chance) were surrendered when their owner died and his wife would no longer keep them. According to one post on the original thread, Colonel is actually 7 years old rather than the 13 posted here. We are not sure of his actual age, and we have no additional information. This is a courtesy post to gain more exposure for Colonel. This pound keeps dogs as long as possible, but they do have space constraints, and when new dogs come in, there must be room for them. If you can help Colonel (and possibly his friend Chance), please contact the pound as soon as possible. They do not hold dogs; you must pick the dog up. The adoption fee is a quite reasonable $20, which includes vaccination and license. Comments on pound policies or the actions of the previous owner are not appropriate here and will be deleted since they do not help Colonel find a home. This post is all about Colonel.
