This weeks volunteer of the week spotlight is for Morgan Whitman! Morgan is a high school senior whos been involved at West for the past year and a half or so. She grew up in Papua New Guinea with her family as missionaries. Its clear that she understands her role in Gods greater plan by her willingness to serve and her passion for the kingdom of God! For example: last year, she served as a part of the Core--the student leadership team at Element. During this time she logged countless hours planning, serving, and loving others for Jesus. She gave up her spring break to serve in Key West on a missions trip. This year, instead of getting involved in more church activities, she chose to focus more on being a witness to her peers. Shes been heavily involved in athletics--specifically soccer--and this for the purpose of others knowing Jesus! She is the kind of person that is willing to do whatever is needed, and that with a kind and gentle spirit. Morgan, thanks for everything you do! Were going to miss you next year, but were so thankful for the time youve invested at West. We love you!
