This will be my 8th year attending the Wharf Rat, I will gladly pay the $10 fee. I have no issue in supporting the rally and the costs it must take to put on such a big event. Its great to see so many people turn up every year in a small town and support local businesses in NS. That revenue helps those businesses stay going for the rest of the year. It does not support the cost of the actual rally, which Im sure must cost quite a bit considering they would have to pay extra security, police, EMT services, permits, band, stage/sound equipment, garbage removal ect ect. So, I feel $10 for a whole weekend of entertainment and fun is quite fair. It cost me $10 to park for just a few hours last weekend in Halifax. This $10 isnt even mandatory to pay. Just dont park in the preferred spots on the main street if $10 is that important to you. And, if you dont want to come because of this cost, Im sure you wont be missed in a crowd of 60,000 plus people..
