This will be my last post for a while. I head out tomorrow at 4pm to start my teacher training and I will return July 3rd. I have had a phone since I was Thirteen years old, I was given one to stay in contact with my family on bus trips for competitive speech. Now cell phones are such a integrated part of who we are it is hard to let it go. I will check my phone every Wednesday and Friday from 9pm - 10pm but probably wont say much, so dont be offended. I have never had the opportunity to truly escape like this. A month of camping, detoxing, fasting and Yoga three times a day will be a transformational experience to say the least. It is a dream I have had for years, going on retreat. Yogis and Yoginis of the past would disappear for years finding themselves and expanding their own consciousness, hopefully finding the Buddha within. We as a global society dont give enough credit to that type of physical, mental and spiritual undertaking. A desire to be free drives me toward the goal of expanding my own consciousness. I pray to suffer and suffer hard. There are aspects of myself that I seek to change in a very big way, self discipline is the umbrella term to describe it all. The intention. The goal. Love is a very real force, upon return I hope to of embodied that force completely. I seek to be a man of Zeal, yet humble. I seek to be a man of intelligence and truth. I seek to be a man that tempers his actions and words with wisdom. Above all else, I seek to be a man that walks in the light of God. Namaste. Shanti, peace.
