This will be the third time Ive tried to post this, this morning. I keep losing it on Lindas machine. Ho here goes: God MORNINNNNNG World! Welcome to another beautiful, God-given day! The weather map shows its going to be HOT, HOT, HOT TODAY, but thats okay because Im going to be COOL, COOL, COOL in my air-conditioned condo. If you are going out today, make sure to wear some sun-screen. You dont want to end up like me! That was the weather, now for the news: Reliable sources report the the Mikester had two doctor appointments this week. They were both good. He doesnt have to see his dermatologist for six months and he has a brain scan scheduled for next week. Guess, that want to see what those pesky little pac-man tumors are up to. In the social side of the news, the Cancer Diaries luncheon was a really good one. Reports say that several old friends faces were there as well a a bunch of new friends faces. In all, the event at the Valley Grill, was attended by 20 people. Debby Silvers Conn arrived with a bouquet of beautiful flowers for Mikesters wife, the Lindaster. Speaking of food, Mikester announced that this weeks luncheon will be at Dairy Queen for the $5 lunches which include a sandwich, french fries, a drink and a small sundae. I went there once and had two of the lunches. The luncheon on Sept. 3, will be at Panda Garden. More details to come. In the food department of the news, if you like bean soup, Bob Evans Restaurant has the best! Its almost as good as the Congressiona, and Navy beans soups that the Mikester ate in the Congressional, Smithsonian and Pentagon dining rooms when he could go there for lunch. If anyone has the recipe for the real Navy or Congressional Bean Soups, please put it in a comment so I can have it. In entertainment news, Im listening to Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful Word by Israel Kamakawiwoole. Its a great medley of two great songs. Thats the news for today. Have a great and blessed day!
