This would be mid 50s. I was riding my bike down Sonoma Ave, and somehow went over the handle bars onto my head. I woke up with a bunch of people standing over me. One of the neighbors took me home and soon afterward, I was visited by our family doctor (I think it was Dr Hutchenson) Apparently, he thought I was OK and that was he end of it. It was standard procedure for the family Doctor to make house calls if your folks requested it. He always brought his little leather bag of tools and equipment and could many times take care of you at home. Cost +-$30??? Today, an ambulance would probably have been called, and I would have been brought to the emergency, tested, probably spent the night. Cost +-$15,000 ??? I know Its better to be safe than sorry, but .......
